Going to work overseas

If you are seeking registration in another country, you may need to obtain information from the Registration Authority (Pharmacy Board or Society) in the country and state that you wish to obtain registration in. Website and/or email addresses have been provided on this site for the registration authorities in Australia, the United Kingdom and Ireland - see links.

IMPORTANT: If you are considering registration with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) you should ensure you are familiar with their new regulations. Information on registering with RPSGB can be found on this page - http://www.rpsgb.org/registrationandsupport/registration/registrationfromothercountries.html

Certificates of Identity

If you are applying for registration in another country and the regulatory authority requires a certificate of identity/letter of good standing, you must advise the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand of the full postal address details of Pharmacy Board or Society you wish to obtain registration in. The following must be forwarded to the Pharmacy Council before the certificate can be prepared and sent:

  • A photograph certified as a true likeness of you and witnessed (check with the regulatory authority where you are applying for registration as some countries do not require this)
  • Your specimen signature on a white adhesive label (a mailing or prescription label is suitable for this)
  • Fee of $50.00 (Cheque, Visa or MasterCard)
  • Details of the address that you wish to use as your registered mailing address for the public register while you are overseas.
  • Date you wish the Certificate of Identity to be sent.
