The Australian Pharmacy Council accredits intern training programmes for pharmacy graduates from approved schools from Australia and New Zealand and for overseas trained pharmacists required to complete the programme as part of the registration process. To facilitate accreditation, the Pharmacy Councils of New Zealand and Australia have developed accreditation standards for the programmes. the standards have been trhough a process of consultation with relevant stakeholders (including Regulatory Authorities and the pharmacy profession in New Zealand) and these are now finalised.
