Preceptors
Are you interested in employing an Intern?
An intern is a pharmacy graduate who is undertaking the practical training leading to registration as a pharmacist. They are either graduates with a BPharm degree from Otago or Auckland University or pharmacists with an overseas qualification who have been deemed as equivalent to a NZ graduate. NZ graduates are required to complete the preregistration programme which runs from 1 February until 30 November and overseas pharmacists applying for registration through the non REQR route must complete a minimum 26 week preregistration programme. Practical training must be carried out in an approved site with an approved supervising pharmacist - called a preceptor (see approval of preceptors).
