New National Pharmacy Board of Australia
From 1 July 2010, the new national registration authority in Australia, the Pharmacy Board of Australia (PBA), came into operation. All states and territories, with the exception of Western Australia which will come on-line soon, have been replaced by the new National Board. New Zealand pharmacists now wanting to work in Australia must contact the PBA to initiate the registration process. Returning New Zealand pharmacists and Australian registered pharmacists must also contact the PBA to arrange for a Certificate of Identity/Letter of Good Standing to be sent directly to the Pharmacy Council of New Zealand.
Pharmacists should contact the PBA - see their website, or can telephone 0061 1300 419 495
