  The current code makes reference to service standards for pharmacies as well as to standards of professional conduct of pharmacists. It also contains commentary to a number of obligations. It is proposed that the revised code will refer only to standards of pharmacists' professional conduct and where appropriate, stand alone guidelines (e.g. advertising) will be developed in place of the obligations commentary.
